Administrative Details

Lucy!

I am super excited for our trip too. Excited and nervous. I figure we are bound to get lost at some point. Although getting lost isn't the end of the world. I believe Papa actually calls getting lost "taking the scenic route." Besides, we have our trusty tom-tom to guide us in the right path...like a little liahona. So I'm not so worried about getting lost. However, I think we may want to consider investing in some pepper spray and rape whistles for our trip, just as a precaution.

I will make sure that the movers don't pack any of my CDs. We can bring all of my CDs in the car with us and make it a goal to listen to every single one of them. I plan to sing, just so you know. Maybe we should also purchase some language CDs. If we were to listen to French CDs on our trip I'll bet we could master the language by the time we reach California. Well, maybe not master. But I'm sure we could pick up some useful phrases.

We'll be packing sports bags for the trip. Remember how tiny my trunk is! I don't think a real suitcase would fit in the trunk. So just bring a backback or a sportsbag. And seriously, pack light. You won't need a ton of stuff for this trip. We can just use my stuff.

Anyway, I am still looking up hotels and places to stop. I am sorry to tell you that our very first stop on this trip is going to be the COX store in Herndon, Virginia. They told me I have to return my modem before I move or I get charged. And I don't want to disconnect my internet early! That would be crazy! So there you go. First stop: Herndon. Our next stop though will be better, I promise. Ashland, Virginia. The greatest thing about Ashland is this little restaurant called El Azteca. It is amazing. It may even rival...The Red Onion! That's how good it is. I'm pretty excited about it. You should be too! And that is really the only reason we will be stopping in Ashland. As soon as we are done eating we can hit the road again. It's only about 20 minutes more to get to Richmond, Virginia. And we will be spending a little time there. All these years in Virginia and I've never seen Richmond, can you believe it? I've driven through it a couple times, but never stopped. So I am quite excited to see it. I am especially excited to see the Faberge exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. I know how you feel about museums, but trust me, it's gonna be GREAT.

Love,
Georgia
